Benji Flowers is going to the MLS Next All-Star Game. FC Dallas and MLS Next named the academy forward to the youth showcase, which brings together 44 of the top young players in the United States and Canada for an East-versus-West match at the Mecklenburg County Sportsplex in Matthews, North Carolina, on July 27 at 6:30 p.m. CT. The game streams on MLS’s YouTube channel and MLSsoccer.com.
Flowers is the seventh player from the FC Dallas development pathway to earn the honor, following Malachi Molina in 2022, Julian Eyestone in 2023, Leonardo Orejarena in 2024, and Isaiah Kaakoush and Steel Cook in 2025.
His résumé is already substantial for his age. Flowers made his professional debut for North Texas SC on March 21 against Houston Dynamo 2, at 14 years, 11 months and seven days becoming the second-youngest player in that club’s history and the 38th FC Dallas academy product to reach MLS Next Pro. With the academy he has played the MTU Cup in Germany, Copa Cronos in Guadalajara, the Generation adidas Cup and the Dallas Cup. At the U-15 level for the United States, he has scored twice in three appearances this year.
Chris Hayden, the club’s youth and boys’ academy director, framed the selection as a developmental step, calling it a chance to help Flowers grow and a point of pride for a club that values putting its players on this stage.
Eligibility ran to players born between 2009 and 2011 who competed in the MLS Next regular season or one of the program’s premier events. The selections followed the 2025-26 regular season and the MLS Next Cup.
