The Rangers farm system is delivering. A quick look at the numbers from mid-August shows a group of young hitters hitting the ball with serious authority across every level. This isn’t hope; it’s hard data from the box scores.

Hitters Are Crushing It

Take Rafe Perich at Frisco. On August 18, he recorded a home run and two doubles in a 4-for-5 performance, as reported by Lone Star Ball. That’s a perfect night at the plate. He also doubled and walked the day before. Dylan Dreiling is right there with him. Per the same report, Dreiling had a pair of hits on the 18th and hit two home runs on the 15th. These young arms are taking over games.

Even the younger guys at Hickory are making noise. Kolby Branch went 4 for 5 with a double on August 18. Pablo Guerrero homered and went 4 for 6 in that same game. The hitting depth looks scary good for a team that needs offense. When your minor leaguers are putting up these lines, the big league club should be watching closely.

Pitching Depth Is Real

While the bats get the headlines, the pitching is holding things down too. Geury Rodriguez threw three shutout innings for Hickory on the 18th. He struck out two batters. Louis Marinaro was just as sharp, pitching 1.2 scoreless innings with two strikeouts and one walk. Per Lone Star Ball, Jesus Lafalaise threw six shutout innings with six strikeouts on August 16. That is a dominant start.

At the AAA level, Winston Santos struck out seven batters in five innings for Round Rock. He gave up three runs, but the swing and miss numbers are what matter. Aidan Curry made his debut for Round Rock on August 15 and held on for five innings. The Rangers have a deep well of arms that can step in when needed. This is the kind of depth that wins pennants.

Speed On The Basepaths

Don’t forget the speed. Yolfran Castillo stole his 50th base of the season for Hickory on August 15. That is a huge milestone. He added another stolen base on the 18th. Paxton Kling and Chandler Pollard also swiped bags recently. The team is playing fast and aggressive. This fits the modern game perfectly.

Rehabbing Danny Jansen caught seven innings for Round Rock on August 16. He went 2 for 3 with a walk. According to the report, he might get activated soon. If the big club needs a catcher, he is ready. The system is full of options right now. The fans in Dallas should be excited about what is coming up the pipeline.
