FC Dallas has secured one of its most productive young forwards for the medium term. The club announced Thursday that Logan Farrington agreed to a contract extension running through the 2027-28 season, with club options attached for both 2028-29 and 2029-30.

The timing makes sense given how his 2026 has gone. Through 14 appearances, Farrington had already set a career high with six goals while leading the team with four assists. His signature stretch came early. A Week 5 performance in the Texas Derby against Houston on March 21, where he scored twice and set up another, earned him a place in the MLS Team of the Matchweek Starting XI. That same window produced the first back-to-back scoring run of his professional career, as he found the net against Houston and again in the road win at D.C. United between March 21 and April 4.

Farrington arrived in Dallas as the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft, a Racine, Wisconsin, product who signed a new contract in January 2025. Since joining the club he has piled up 15 goals and 16 assists across 75 appearances, more than any other player taken in that 2024 draft class. He also lifted the MLS NEXT Pro Cup with North Texas SC in November 2024, scoring in the final, and became one of only six players in league history to post multiple games with a goal and an assist off the bench in a single season.
